Jax writes at least a song a week to keep the doctor away.
On the 22nd of November 2018 Jax released her first pop rock EP
called “Worth It”. This EP is blended with an RnB funk feel and is
enjoyable to listen to. The 5 songs on the EP have catchy melodies
with lyrics that have a good lesson behind them and each sounding
different to the next.
In her songs, Jax writes from personal experiences and how she
deals with mental health issues. It is her desire to share her lessons
she has learnt about life through songs. She hopes that it will bring
some help and awareness to mental health issues within Australia
and also globally.
Jax attended Metropolitan TAFE to study Music Performance in
2008 and then Music Business in 2009. Jax was asked to perform
to over 1600 students in 2009 and 2010 for their graduation
Some of her previous achievements in her music career is when
Jax created a band in 2014 - 2016 called Ravens Lair;
a hard melodic rock band consisting of 5 members, where she
wrote the melodies and lyrics and acted as manager. Performing at
such venues as the Zoo and The New Globe Theatre in Brisbane
and also at The Qld Design Music Awards which Jax hosted in
2015 and 2016.
Jax is currently singing in a duo and doing cover gigs in between
writing more songs.
She is an advocate for mental health and believes we need to learn
how to manage our minds better, for Jax thats through the use of
songwriting and psychology.
